A colour to cherish

Cherished Gold

#Dulux has recently revealed its colour of the year for 2016 - Cherished Gold.  Their colour experts say this colour pairs well with ‘fresh pastels and rich jewel tones alike and its earthy quality make it easy to use and coordinate.’

If you like to keep up to date with the latest interior design styles then you need to start thinking about how you can introduce this new shade to your home without breaking the bank.  The smart interior designer understands how, by replacing just a few key pieces, their home will remain bang on trend.

As we never get tired of saying, one of the quickest, cheapest and easiest ways to give any room a fresh new look is by introducing a new rug.  And if you’re looking for a rug that features this must have colour - we’ve got a few designs which incorporate our interpretation of gold, which I think you’ll like

For the discerning home, the fine Indo Persian gold rug (above) offers exceptional detail thanks to a superb level of craftsmanship and is one of our finest rugs. Also above, the Pakistan Bokhara offers a plain gold centre and is perfect for a lounge or dining room, while we think the traditional Afghan design would work well in a bedroom.

For those on a budget, we love the City Range Design (below) which features a bold gold floral motif that will take centre stage in a living room.  Or, how about the Gabbeh rug which would look great in any room in the house?

Let's go for gold in 2016.
