The colour experts Pantone have announced the most up and coming colours for the new autumn/winter season. So for those people who love to be bang on trend with their interior design schemes, we've found several rugs that feature the new season's must have colours.

Grenadine is a powerful, evocative, dynamic red and we have found just the right shade in our Gabbeh collection. This range is handmade in North Eastern India and this particular colour is just what you need to inject a pop of colour to your room.

Autumn Maple is a quintessential autumn colour, introducing warmth into your colour scheme. This rug is also taken from our Gabbeh collection.

Neutral grey is described as the standard bearer of all neutrals and we have to agree. Many people don't appreciate just what a flexible and yes, neutral colour  grey is.  It works well in a minimalist, neutral interior scheme but will also provide the calm tone for colours such as navy blue.  It's one of our favourites which is why you can find a really wide collection of grey rugs. This one, is taken from our Ella Claire naturals collection.  These luxurious 100% Viscose pile rugs are available in a vast array of sizes.

Marina is cool, fresh and bright.  This is the colour scheme for those who refuse to accept summer is over.  This rug is taken from our exclusive Vibrance collection and will ensure memories of the Med are never too far away - even in deepest winter.

Greenery is the colour for 2017

According to the colour experts at Pantone, this year's must have colour is green - well Greenery - and it is the colour they describe as: 'A refreshing and revitalizing shade, Greenery is symbolic of new beginnings.

'Greenery is a fresh and zesty yellow-green shade that evokes the first days of spring when nature’s greens revive, restore and renew. Illustrative of flourishing foliage and the lushness of the great outdoors, the fortifying attributes of Greenery signals consumers to take a deep breath, oxygenate and reinvigorate.
'Greenery is nature’s neutral. The more submerged people are in modern life, the greater their innate craving to immerse themselves in the physical beauty and inherent unity of the natural world. This shift is reflected by the proliferation of all things expressive of Greenery in daily lives through urban planning, architecture, lifestyle and design choices globally. A constant on the periphery, Greenery is now being pulled to the forefront - it is an omnipresent hue around the world.
A life-affirming shade, Greenery is also emblematic of the pursuit of personal passions and vitality.'
We love green too - it's a fabulously flexible colour to use at home and goes well with so many other shades from black to white and everything in-between.

Interiors for Spring 16

Interior design colours for Spring 2016

This week we are taking our inspiration from Pantone, who each season provide their interpretation of must have colours.  These colours are usually taken from the cat walk and then interpreted for interiors.

Here are some of our favourites from the palette.

Serenity blue – is calming and provides security.  Our advice is to use this blue in the bedroom where calm and peace will help you wind down at night and ease you into sleep.  This is also a great colour to mix with deep blue or white and will always give your room an air of elegance.

Fiesta on other hand is anything but calm.  This strong vivid shade is perfect for the dining room of the lounge – any room where you want to interact with people and socialize.  Fiesta would look good in large spaces with high ceilings and plenty of natural light – and should be used sparingly in small rooms.

And for those people who prefer something more neutral – iced coffee is the shade for you.  This colour is really versatile and can be used across the home in any room.  The shade is particularly adaptable and can either be the background for a neutral palette or combined with something brighter such as pink.
